The Mindspark Quiz (2nd Edition) is Rourkela’s premier inter-institutional general quiz celebrating curiosity, intellect, and teamwork. Organised annually by the Management Association of Rourkela (MAR), the 2025 edition invites bright young minds from schools and colleges to compete for the coveted Mindspark Champions Trophy!
This year’s edition will feature two categories:
1. Group A: School Students – Classes VIII to XII
2. Group B: College Students – Under 25 years of age
Mr. Ajay Poonia, one of India’s leading professional quizmasters, will conduct both the School and College rounds
• Each team must consist of two members.
• Both members must belong to the same institution. Cross-institutional teams are not permitted.
• A participant cannot be part of more than one team.
• Team composition cannot be changed after registration.
a. Participation in Mindspark 2nd Edition is only through prior registration.
b. Registration Fee:
• Group-A (School Students): ₹100 per team
• Group-B (College Students): ₹200 per team
c. Participants must register online at https://rourkelamar.in.
d. The registration window will close on 23rd October 2025 (11:59 PM).
e. Details regarding on-spot registration (if available) will be circulated later through official MAR channels.
f. Each institution may send multiple teams for participation.
1. GROUP-A: School Category
i. Participants must be students currently enrolled in Classes VIII, IX, X, XI, or XII. Both team members must belong to the same school, though they may come from different classes.
ii. Participants must be between the ages of 12 and 17 as of October 15, 2025.
2. GROUP-B: College Category
i. All participants must be students enrolled in an institution of higher education, such as a college or university. Both team members must belong to the same educational institution but may come from different departments or classes.
ii. Participants must be within the age range of 17 to 25 years as of October 15, 2025.
GROUP-A: School Students
• Grand Finale Winner – INR 10,000 + Trophy + Certificates
• First Runner Up – INR 7,500 + Trophy + Certificates
• Second Runner Up – INR 5,000 + Trophy + Certificates
• Teams securing 4th, 5th, and 6th positions – INR 1,000 each per team + Certificates
GROUP-B: College Students
• Grand Finale Winner – INR 15,000 + Trophy + Certificates
• First Runner Up – INR 10,000 + Trophy + Certificates
• Second Runner Up – INR 7,500 + Trophy + Certificates
• Teams securing 4th, 5th, and 6th positions – INR 2,000 each per team + Certificates
• The quiz will be conducted offline at the venue. • All registered teams will participate in a Written Preliminary Round. • The top-scoring teams from each category will qualify for the On-Stage Final Round. • The Quizmaster’s decision will be final and binding in all matters.

• Written Prelims: 10:00 AM
• On-Stage Final: 11:30 AM
GROUP-B : College Quiz
• Reporting & Registration: 1:30 PM
• Written Prelims: 2:00 PM
• On-Stage Final: 3:30 PM
Joint Prize Distribution Ceremony:
5:00 PM onwards – Prizes for both School and College categories will be awarded by distinguished guests.
• Participants must carry valid school/college ID cards for verification.
• Use of mobile phones, smart watches, or electronic gadgets during the quiz is strictly prohibited.
• Any form of malpractice, impersonation, or disruptive behaviour will result in disqualification.
• Participants agree to be photographed or video-recorded for documentation and promotional purposes.
• The decisions of the Quizmaster and Organising Committee are final and binding.
• Organisers reserve the right to modify rules, schedule, or format in case of unforeseen circumstances.
• Entry fees once paid are non-refundable.
